:help:Is the pier at Matagorda open I have a friend that wants to head out there for 4 th of July weekend and do some Bull Red fishing. If anyone been up that way please give me the 411. Thanks

Man, I haven't been to the coast since before Ike....my plan was to just head on down there and hope for the best....lol

If it is there are plenty of jetties they weathered the storm. I have caught some huge reds on the jetties at freeport. They are toppeed with a sidewalk for easy transversal....whatever that means. lol
