after next week their`s a new FLOUNDER limit of
2 fish per person on rod & reel only no gig`n
I`m not sure how long the regulation will last
but do know it`s during the flounder migration period

Thought the 2 fish limit was only for november. That's how I read the little card they gave me

Flounder special regulation: Daily bag is 5 fish except for the period Nov. 1-30 when the daily bag is 2 fish and flounder may be taken only by pole and line. Possession limit is equal to the daily bag.

This is a GREAT thing. Our flounder numbers have been on a steady decline for the past 5 years. This will stem the tide, and hopefully boister our numbers for the future.

I would love to see Texas do what Florida has done for the Trout. Their season for Trout is closed during the spawn. We need to look at locking down the limits for trout during the early winter/Spawn for Trout as well as flounder.

Thiis is a good thing for flounder.The shrimp by catch has put a major hurt on the bay fish,flounder being # 1 .

Wow, thats pretty restricitive compared to in years past. I dont understand the spawn limitation. If I catch a bass in june and throw him in grease he doesnt spawn in february. What is the difference if I catch him when he is full of eggs. Nothing. I do understand the flounder is easier to catch during the run but trout.......I dont know but I believe daily bag limits and length regulations are the way to manage. I would hate for them to close bass season from january to april. Just doesntr make any sence to me. It also hurts the record books, trout and bass

When I renewed my license, they gave me a laminated card with all the new limits and regulations
