Big Uglies are starting to stack in the GSC (galveston ship channel).

Best bite time was when incoming tide slowed. Prime time will be when the water temps hit that magic 60 degrees.

Just passing the info from report of friends....

What's the best type of bait for those Big Uglies?

What's the best type of bait for those Big Uglies?

This time of the year...live fresh blue crabs. If the bite is real slow, I will use them whole (take off all the appendages and save the pinchers for last minute bait, cut the spines off to let some scent out). If the bite is fast and furious, @$3.50-$4.00/lb, I will be cutting them up in half or quarters.

They will also hit crawfish & shrimp.
