High Island rpt...3.13.2010

We hit Apffel Park (Bolivar Roads) channel and with a strong nw wind, I felt helpless watching 3 of our members not being able to anchor up in the strong currents. Lets just say, when 2 of the Cobra FND's were able to stick, their yaks were almost swamped. Actually, I was actually on land loading the yak very slowly. :D My Tarpon 140 would've been no match for these currents. We decided to hit the ferry and go fish High Island. Smart move as we tallied up 35 bullreds and 13 BU's...
