I was think about the awful amount of oil out in the Gulf and started to wonder what the TPWD will set for next years harvest or limits on our saltwater game and resources for the 2010-2011 up coming season.

We know that the shimping industry in Louisanna was stop to a hault because of the oil desaster. Which I think prompt the TPWD to up Texas shimpers quota to make up for our neighbors to the east. Leading me to wonder if they will do the same to the fishing harvest.

What do you guys think?

Not sure what will happen. A good question though

I won't be surpised if they lowered the limits due to all the toxins in the gulf. But who knows, specially with Hurricane season around the corner. Its looking grim all the way around.

Good thing we still have Freshwater. But just imagine the crowds.

The spill is a huge blow to the gulf. Add a hurricane to the mix and it will be even worse.

Just finished reading that the latest attempt to plug the leak failed and now they are looking at another 3 days to try their other plan.

True True...A hurricane is about the last thing we need right now...

A good reason for us to count on a lot of fresh water fishing.
