Last Thursday i went to Galveston and spent some time fishing the jetti on the island. The day was hot but the water was calm and clear so in turn the mullet were flowing in huge schools. It was a good day to fish. Between me and a buddy we caught 5 legal black tips,2 specks,1 huge sting ray and about 10 Spanish macks. The sharks and sting ray were re-released and i only managed to take a few pics since last time i was there the waves claimed my phone, something i did not want to repeat. Anyhow, enjoy the pics and happy fishing!

Those Jetties are @ east beach (Apfel Park) Hit the seawall go Left to dead ends, take road on the right. Go about a half mile down winding road, and it leads to east beach. Go Left on beach and you will see jetties ahead. The further you go out on the rocks, the better the fishin. BE VERY CAREFUL. Some danger involved the further you go.

FlatheadFred, the last time I was down there, the waves were breaking over the jetty. I have not been out to far as I am to cautious and don't wanna get caught by a sneaker wave with my back turned. I would end up fish bait and that would kill the fishing for the rest of you as they could munch on me for quite a while.

To all that wanted to know where the South jetty is.When you travel south and hit Seawall blvd take a left. Go all the way until you reach the dead end and theres a stop sign.Take a right and follow it down, and your there. Its actually a Galveston park and u have to pay to get in(8$).Oh,and once your in go all the way to the left and you will see a designated parking for the jetty. Some advice to you guys who havent been there. The jetty's stucture is a lot rougher than the North,so are the waters because it is the first buffer to the ship channel from the Gulf so make sure you check the weather. The pay off is that when the weathers nice, the fishing really nice!
