I meet up with BFT, Eagle_One and Our buddy Mark to do a little Saltwater fishing. Water we thought was going to be a lot better than it was. It was rougher than we thought as well. But that's fishing. So we made the best of it. We caught some bait and Mark had bought some Shrimp before we got there. We were catching a lot Fish but they were the kind we didn't want. Plenty of Gaftop, Hardheads, Lady fish and Sting Rays. I did hook in to a nice 20" in Red on my second cast though.

As the afternoon went on we tried to catch some more fresh bait and it was very hard. We could not find any. So we figured to use what we had left and try some artificial lures. We fished till dark and then cranked up the generator and turned on the light and noticed small bait fish and small gar swimming all around the lights. We started throwing lures and I had a few hits and caught a few. Took us a little while to figure out the pattern and how they were biting. After we figured it out we were reeling in Sand trout and small Specks one after another. gotta love fishing with the lights.

We did this for a while and then the tide changed Direction and it brought the Chocolate milk water to where we were fishing and the fish tuned off. We only saved a few of the trout we caught. We were worn out from fishing and the sun so we packed up and headed for boat ramp.

I'm sure BFT and Eagle_One will give there report soon. I Know I had a great time. Thanks guys for another great fishing trip.

That sure was one trip where it was hard to find the bait much less see it in that murkey water.lol Other than that it was a great trip that Red Vetto caught sure was nice by the way. And after figuring out the pattern for those specks was the iceing on the cake.

Thanks again Mark for the invite and it was great fishing with some good friend Vetto,Mark and Eagle_One.
