Any one know if there are any crappie in Fayetteville lake ? I do some catfishing out there and would like to catch some crappie but not sure if their are any .

personally i have never fished it and have not heard any crappie stories from there; maybe someone else may chime in with better news .

I ain't never feeshed that lake but will say I ain't never seen a lake without crappie in it.....this is Texas.....crappie everywhere.....LOL

Well thanks , I guess my question should have been dose anyone catch any crappie out there or is it a waste of time .

It's been years, but I got the chance to fish that reservoir a couple of times. We were after bass, and the fishing was great. This is just conjecture, but since the water temps there are always warmer than normal, it's possible that Crappie (which prefer cooler water) don't do well.

I have been fishing Fayette County Lake since I moved from Houston back in 2010 and I have never caught any crappie from Fayette.

just had a very interesting conversation with a fellow member who has fished Fayette county lake and has had some sucess with crappie.. they went catfishing and caugh ta bunch but then he went crappie fishing and was sucessful..:applause:
