Where ever it is gonna be I plan on bringing my camper too, and staying longer. Just a thought, everyone wants things to be close to home, so here is a thought. Cagle Recreation area here in New Waverly, is just around the corner from Stublefield.(Sam Houston Nat' Forest). The place is clean, hot and cold water showers, clean bathrooms, boat ramp, a place for bank fishing, electric hook ups, It would make a great fishing camp. Another thought is the pavillion at the Anchorage Marina, it would give cover if it was raining. Fairfield Lake is great, Fort Parker over on the Navasoto River, Martin Dies park (Dam B area) out on 190 east, ok I will stop, I don't know what everyone has in mind, but here are some of my favorites.

My idea is, why go any place else when we got the best right here?
I think i will go for the big yellers this time, gonna make me some "big yeller" jugs. use big live bait, like paul. Did anyone ever find his jug?
I'll set out maybe 10 jugs for lil fifhies, and 20 for the big ones, look out.

Let's plan on livingston and\or trinity river, below dam in the spring when it's warmer to get used to the river\lake, then have a winter shot at the monsters, that way we will know the place to go and camp that will accomodate everyone. just a suggestion. I would like to kinda know were i'm going when i'm in the cold, and not waste a lot of time.

I might plan onr for sometime in april or may. but must have coperation from every one, I'll try to set it up for livingston, below the dam, it will be a rough one, , there is a campsites on the west bank of the river below the dam, that has restroom and a place for fire. i'll check it out. before may

Yeah I was missled it would be the weekend of feb 13, 14& 15 , but hey whatever works for you guys!!

11-21-2003, 06:01 PM
hey if thats the weekend everyone wants sounds good to me i can take off friday nite and be there friday noon or so
on a different point i have a suggestion since it seems like a lot of work getting everyone set up on meals for 2 to 3 days why not keep it simple
some dont show for what ever reason. why not let everyone take care of there on food and drinks and maybe sat plan 1 fish fry., say all boats back at certain hour then everyone is there to help maybe one or 2 fryers bag of meal sack of fries and sause try and keep it simple and will leave more time for fishing and bull talking.
just my 2 cents worth im very flexable whatever the group comes up with is okay
