You two probably the smartest ones of the group,  :D

Special guest was one of Texas Finest State Wardens, Warden Kevin Melonson who was gracious enough to drop by and say hi to everyone, sign our guest book and answer some questions, which there were plenty,
A very special couple, El Pescador (Gil) and his lovely bride(Letta) joined the ranks of "Diehard fisher people", Josh, Gators buddy, ,anthony, TJ and Darin also joined the ranks and Will Sullivan made it to the top.We have had a great time in the worst days of fishing on Fishingtx.com
Overall has been about 31 guests and members , not bad for a bad day !!!

What did you say blake?? , castnblast, the captain that abandonded the ship but we'll talk about that later.

Maki we missed ya bro , things aren' t the same without you, all is well high water , cold as heck and mud all over the compound , something has got to give.

Would of stayed back with Randy (catfishboat) and Brian (dockhand) and helped out with the fish fry if I would have known they were getting started. All I got to do was my cole slaw and didn`t get to do any of my Cajun Cat. Antony really wanted to go out though. If I would have stayed back he probably would have been upset. It was great to finally match faces to screen names. GB and Gator are perfect fishing partners for each other and Medulla and Mudcat were fun to fish with and talk to. Thecatfishboat is a great guy, and my boy is still wearing the hat he give him. Zeke was great to talk to and he has been fishing the lake since 1972 and knows his stuff. Thanks to **** for letting Antony and I defrost in the camper and Brian for being so helpful with everything. Thank You Bill for letting use BJ`s and turning the place into a muddy pig sty. Forgot to bring out the supper hot sauce :onfire: we could of had some fun with that. I just got side tracked when we got back in and we were already cooking. I know I met many others at the gathering but I started to forget who was who after meeting so many people. Had a great time and hope the weather is nice fo the Conroe March event. See ya`ll there.

It was great meeting and putting faces with names, Thin Water Tracker, you are a pretty neat person; use Irfanview photo editor and download to JPG files and try to stay below 450 pixtels, you shoud be ok.
Go to the bottom of the box and click on add attachment;scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a browse box click on it, this will allow you to select the place you going to get your pic from.
i download all my pictures to a 31/2 flopppy to keep from loading up my computor

First off a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to deckhand for keeping the coffee pots going nonstop. Without the hot coffee I would have froze for sure. Thank you Brian!!! You are a trooper!

For the rest of the folks who showed up yall are true mission hackers…hehehe…somebody said fish and these guys are there.

Al the slaw was second to none. You are hired for the Conroe muster and don’t forget that sauce. I whoop up a little habernero concoction I call “medulla’s madness”. We will have ‘em running for the lake. ..bwaaaahahaha…

Gilbert, that was the best ceviche! I look forward to having some at the Conroe muster, please!

The big fish came off one of my “mudcats original flagging jugs” but I guarantee it was a FishingTexas.com group effort that made it possible. Thanks a lot folks for putting this all together.

It was a blast and I can’t imagine what it would have been like with some nice weather.

I think we could call running out at midnight to run the jug lines with Ice and what the feel was snow some hardcore fishing.

I have to say Medulla my friends call me a hordcore fisherman. I think I have me work cut out if I'm going to try and stay up with you my friend. I really injoy fishing with you and the whole group. I learned a lot this weekend. and hope to put it to good use ove then next few months and years to come.

This was the pay off for making that run at midnight. It was Medulla , Brain and myself. Cold but had a ball.

medulla762
02-16-2004, 01:02 PM
Thin Water Tracker I consider it an honor to have you run my q-beam anytime.

Hey the fish we caught on that run wasn't the main thing. All the lines were 'bout out of bait and if we had not of went on that hoot owl run we would not have pulled all those quality fish off Saturday morning.

'preciate you and Brian going out in the elements and giving me a hand.

It would not have been near as much fun by myself....but it would have still happened...hahaha...

What's the skinny on your boat?

You are more than welcomed to borrow my boat during the week ANYTIME. But as you know I will need it weekends, but you are invited to go with me.

Let me know.

Took it in this morning they said it would be a week. Bill said they will grind all of that weld out and redo the whole thing. Show him the others and had a few other small things for them to do that was covered.

I would take you up on the the boat but I have somethings I need to do before heading dow to baffin next month got a rod to build and one to rebuild. So I'm going to take this week to get that done. Hey we missed some fish I pull the ice chests out of the boat this morning to take it in and found We had left 8 cats on ice.

Here you go Medulla one more time.

This one is of **** and Brian show How Blues in lake Houston can swallow the channels from some lake up North. **** I want to thankyou for giving me the INFO about the lake and the fish and how to fish them I learn a lot from you this weekend my friend hope to do it again real soon. ANd Brian My hat is off to you for the work you did around camp you made the whole cold weather thing a lot better keep the pot on the fire and something to snak on ready for the fishermen coming back to camp after that cold run on the lake.

hahaha... it'll be a while before I tire of looking at that...hehehe...

You ended up with some more fillets. GREAT! I was afraid you didn't get plenty.

You hear that Tim, add 8 to the total. So what does that make?

C & S may want to consider welding another plate above the tunnel in that high sress zone.

You will never believe what I did when I got home. I fried fish...hahaha...and dang, it sure was good too...

ole ben seems to be havin a good time even though he was stuck with me

Thin Water Tracker
02-16-2004, 01:58 PM
I hope they get it on the first fix. I talked to him about drill the end before they weld it up and he said they would take the whole weld out and redo the back end were the tunnel is welded to the transom.

Thinking about taking the poling platform off. a little less wind drag going down the road. and will give a lot more room on the back end of the boat.

Besides I need room to store the Jug tubs. I can always put it back on when I go down south were it has a use.

Sounds like we both had the samething for dinner. When I walked through the door with the bags of fish the wife dung out the deepfryer and said I know what I'm having for dinner I don;t know about you. I tell you it was some fine eating.

This was taken of Sat Morning

In all honesty when a catfish eats another he usually hits it from the front cause the fins will fold and he can be swollowed the other way if they hit from the back they will get the fins lodged and have a real bad day, like we did sat and friday, just been my experience.
I got some fish fillets if anyone needs some ,not many but a few

02-16-2004, 09:03 PM
for those that did not hear me and mr. ben after doing hours and hours of research have come to the results catfish love bologna.

I want to give special thanks to the man, who through his wisdom, has really helped cheryl, ben and myself get people interested and really get this thing going.

That's why he is the Mayor and not me or u, he is evry inteligent and has alot of fish savy and even when he goes to another lake he can smell them shad.
Watch this; when there is a big fish in a picture look at who is close by. He is sought after to fish with I can't make an appointment to go fishing with him cause he is always booked , i wanted some of them Mudcat Originals to put on my wall in my fishin room and still am at the bottom of the list!! I know when I go back to the Lake i'll find some of Medullas and hide them   :P    Every time we found one of Medullas Mudcat Flagging jugs it had at least two fish we gave him the jug but kept the fish. When people like Bearcat came down he was looking for Mudcat, he did not care about Gb or **** or who he wanted them mudcat original flagging jugs
