Been in Aussie land for a week and finaly getting to go to rainbow beach by Fraiser island. Locals say it northend of Great Barrier reef. All I know is there seems to be lots of silver streaks flying thru the water and I want to hang on to a few. Hope to have a great report and some pics

I really don't know where to start, first day we road ferry across the bay to Fraiser island, largest sand Island in the world, all 4X4 driving, the surf is beautiful, caught what they call whitting at everyplace we stopped, they look a lot like a spec trout. They were average size about 3/4 pound to 2 pounds, also caught afew gaftop looking catfish. Any way first day was action packed, going to reef tomorrow, red snapper, sharks and black perch that don't look like any perch I have ever seen.

ol e Bill
will have to wait until I get back state side to load pics, do have some nice surf pics and some fish. The beaches are very clean compared to the Texas Coast. One thing I like about fishing here, is there are no crowds. Very few boats in the bays or reefs. Almost like "virgin" water.
