NORTH SABINE Trout and redfish are good under the birds in the middle of the lake and in the river on She Dogs, Top Dogs, Sand Eels, Trout Killers and Bass Assassins. Flounder are good on live mud minnows, mullet and jigs tipped with fresh shrimp at the cuts leading to the marsh.
SOUTH SABINE Trout are good under the birds on topwaters, soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. Flounder are good at the causeway on fresh peeled shrimp and white tandem-rigged DOA Shrimp.
BOLIVAR Redfish, flounder, whiting, sand trout and croaker are good at Rollover Pass on fresh dead shrimp. Flounder are good on live bait at the Pass on the outgoing tide. Trout are good on the south shoreline on chartreuse She Dogs and Super Spooks.
TRINITY BAY Trout are good on the east shoreline reefs on Top Dogs, She Dogs, Super Spooks and red shad and glow Bass Assassins, Sand Eels, Trout Killers and Hogies. Croaker, flounder, redfish and sand trout are good on the reef near the Spillway on fresh shrimp.
EAST GALVESTON BAY Trout and redfish are good on glow/chartreuse and pumpkinseed Bass Assassins, Hogies, Trout Killers and Sand Eels in six feet of water over shell. Trout are good under the birds, however, most of the specks have been small.
WEST GALVESTON BAY Trout are fair to good over shell on strawberry/white, motor oil, glow/chartreuse and pumpkinseed Bass Assassins, Sand Eels and Trout Killers. Redfish, flounder, croaker and whiting are good from the beachfront piers on fresh dead shrimp and mullet. Flounder are good on mud minnows and jigs tipped with shrimp around the cuts that lead to the Intracoastal.
TEXAS CITY Croaker, whiting, black drum and flounder are fair to good from the piers off the dike on dead shrimp. Bull redfish are good on finger mullet. Trout are fair to good at night under the lights on white speck-rigs, DOA Shrimp and live shrimp. Flounder are fair to good at Sea Wolf Park on mud minnows and jigs tipped with shrimp.
FREEPORT Redfish and gafftop are good in the surf on finger mullet and shrimp. Redfish are good in the Freeport Channel on mullet and live shrimp under a popping cork. Flounder, sand trout and croaker are good in San Luis Pass on live bait.
EAST MATAGORDA Trout are fair to good for waders working mid-bay reefs on 10W-40, roach and glow Bass Assassins, Trout Killers, Sand Eels, Hogies and topwaters. Flounder are good in the cuts and drains to the bay on shad imitations and live bait.
MATAGORDA Trout and redfish are fair to good on the south shoreline on live bait and topwaters. Most of the specks have been undersized. Redfish are fair to good in Oyster Lake on live shrimp.
PORT O'CONNOR Trout are fair to good on She Dogs and soft plastics on the Bayucos Flats. Redfish are good at City Slicker Flats on Top Dogs and She Dogs. Redfish and flounder are good at the jetty on finger mullet and shad. Trout are good on the reefs in San Antonio Bay on plum Trout Killers, Sand Eels and Bass Assassins.
ROCKPORT Trout are good near Traylor and Hog Islands on live shrimp, piggy perch and bone Trout Killers. Redfish are good on the Estes Flats on finger mullet and live shrimp.
PORT ARANSAS Redfish are good in the surf and off the piers on live finger mullet and squid. Flounder are good in the Ship Channel on mud minnows, live shrimp and jigs tipped with fresh peeled shrimp. Red snapper are good offshore
