Depends on how serious you are about chasing them. Insignificant number of them in Texas coastal waters north of Nueces Bay - more as you go south. I hear there's enough of them in the ship channel at Brownsville and around the Port Isabel jetties to make it worthwhile. I haven't targeted them. Plenty in Florida and throughout the Carib. Cold water sure shuts them down though. IF you do go after them, I would appreciate a PM on the subject. Will be retiring soon and will have time for longer range trips and in my previous life, really enjoyed chasing snook (personal best was a 40 incher).
