My personel opinion is there have been plenty of unexplained sightings but usually have a explanation. As for intelligent beings coming all this way just to observe......Long way not to stop and say Hi!

Back in the mid 70s I worked in far west Texas in Alpine. I usually worked the night shift. You could travel a short distance from town and get way from the glow of the city lights and the stars would look so big you thought you could reach out and touch them. During that time I saw a few things and lights that I could not explain. They never scared me, rushed at me or beamed me up, but they did make me wonder. Also if you ever drove the stretch between Alpine and Del Rio on Hyw 90 at night you would find that it was very dark with big stars. You would always see something you could not explain. I would like to believe there is other life out there but a lot of the stories that people tell is a bunch of hooey and they are only trying to make a name for themselves and get a little money.

There was a guy that work for us. He was an older gentleman set finacially so he just worked to get out of the house mostly. His wife and him had a beauty salon. So they where doing o.k. needless to say. They normally would head to the casinos in the middle of the night and just to avoid traffic they would take 1960 thru huffman to get to old highway 90. One Monday morning he came to work and said that his wife had won some money on their weekend trip to Delta Down but from talking to him he told us some some lights they saw around 3 a.m on their way to the casino that night. He happened to be on just past Huffan near the train track out there on 1960 when his wife saw at a distance so lights hoffering over the fields. After a couple of minutes they disappeared and than reappeared again when they were on Hwy 90 the lights always stayed miles ahead of them but seemed to be following the same road they were on. And again disappearing when they got closer to the city lights of Beaumont. Just weird that there is still sightings over on that side.
