This morning was MUCH more productive than yesterday. Still nothing huge, but I did catch a bunch. From the 6:40 minute mark to the 9:13 mark, I left uncut. In those 2.5 minutes, I made five cast and caught 3 different kinds of fish. Enjoy.

It was calm, until about 10. The boaters started running up and down the river about then. I got off the water about 11:00am ... that was when the water was roiling like a seaside surf.

The some of the parts I've edited out were the roughest times when I couldn't even make a good cast.

Excellent video Mike. Do you ever eat any of those nice big bluegills?
When is the best time to go fishing? Whenever you can go. Just do it!

I've got two bags of 20 fillets each, in the freezer. We have a fry once in a while.
I'd have them once a week, but the rest of the family is less favorable to that. So, I "replace" a bag when we eat one.

I have several old folks on my block. I donate fish to them regularly. Sometimes they give me deer, pies and cups of coffee. I really enjoy hearing stories from their past. Its good theropy, talking to folks like that. Now days everyone has their head buried in their phone. Mindless robots.

Just a picture today. Dental appointment early, got on the water about 10:00. Caught a bunch of small Spotted Sunfish, and one nice Coppernose Blugill.

[QUOTE=mikechell;284245]So ... I got a custom built fly rod in a "black Friday" sale the builder had. I was able to request the color of the wraps, and since blue is my favorite color ...

It's an 8 weight, which means it will throw larger flies than I am currently used to. I am just waiting for some fly line I ordered for it ... and I'll be ready to fish.

I got my line for "Mr. Blue". Got it rigged up and will try to fish it tomorrow.
