Chub ... one of the larger members of the "minnow" family. Good call, Vett. I don't know of anyone eating them, so I don't think they are.
The last picture ... that fish is about 10 inches long ... which is a big fish for this species. They feel like a trout, in the hand. The flesh doesn't feel firm. Probably edible, like eating a small trout.

I only got an hour or so before the wind got too bad.
I caught one bass (picture at the end of the video) before I started the video. Caught one Crappie on the video.
Looking like a better day for fishing tomorrow.

I don't have a thermometer, so I don't know what the temps are. But I can say that while I am loading/unloading the boat, the water is colder on my feet than I like.
Caught one good sized Bluegill today.

Final day of the weekend, and I caught some more nice fish today. And yes, Vett, the Bluegill are very dark ... but some are more colorful than others.
    Today's catch:

Thanks for taking time to take pics of the different color variations.

Cool seeing the different colors. Nice healthy bluegills.

Pictures 1 and 3 are Bluegill. They are called "Copper-nosed Bluegill", but I am not sure if it's a different species or just geographical difference.
Picture 2 is called a "Flier". It's a Sunfish, but not a Bluegill. Same thing for picture 4 ... which is a Red-Ear Sunfish.

A little fishing at lunch time. Just a drainage ditch that holds water year round. I caught one nice bass, then went back to the van to rig up a way to carry the video camera.
