Nice. Wish there was a spot like that by where I worked.

    Very cool.

Water color and clarity has a lot to do with color

Bass from Sheldon and luces have the black color when the water is realy tannic and dark

Oh yeah, Daniel ... I know that's why these fish are so dark. Most of the water I fish is almost as dark as coffee. I'll scoop some up in a glass next time I am on the water.
But the "Coppernose" Bluegill has coloration that is more than just environmental reaction. I think it's considered a sub-species Bluegill, separate from the true Bluegill strain.
    I catch both kinds here.

It's funny how many sub speices there are of them and a lot of them all hand out in the same spots/areas too which make its any one guess on what you'll catch

I got to fish on Mother's day, and again yesterday. Finally took some time to go through the videos. I caught acouple of nice fish, but most of them were dinks. Then there was the Deer Fly that had to have it's few seconds of fame.

    What peaceful looking fishing.
That creek or river you are fishing looks great. The bank is loaded with various structures ie roots, stumps, piers etc.
You had one very nice LMB. Looked to be a pound and a halfer at least
Lots of hand sized bluegills and a good looking Crappy. Eat your heart out silentkilla! L O L

that one bait you were using looked a lot like a grasshopper or a shrimp?

    Very good video Mike.
When is the best time to go fishing? Whenever you can go. Just do it!

    The three flies I used:
Panfish Attractor, looks like many things that might be in the water (My go-to pattern).
    Attachment 39530

Fluffy Tailed Popper, looks like many things that might fall into the water.
    Attachment 39531

Eyelash Yarn Minnow (but I didn't catch anything on this one)

    Great looking lures.

Bass gave that fly rod a good workout.
