    1-15-16 Bane park trout fishing

The anual trout stocking will be next Friday 15 th, I hope I can catch enough for a meal this year. Most fish are around 8 inches long, it takes a few to fill a skillet. Limit 5 a day. The best bait is small marshmellows, power bait or super duper lure. I have caught some rainbows and golden trout in the pond located off 290 and West Little York.

One or two pieces of canned corn.
If you fly fish, just tie a small deer hair ball on a small hook.
Stocked trout are used to pellet feed, so anything that looks similar is food.

I work very close to that pond, might try it out at lunch time. Probably be late back to work though.
    If I even go back.

I'm not too far from there either (FM 529). If you decide to meet up for lunch, I would like to attend.

I think I burned out myself on those really small fish. A midday meetup for some BBQ would be nice though. I would gladly give up some of my trout supplies for someone wanting to try to get some. Any day but Monday would be good for me.

BBQ sounds good. Thursdays are not good for me.
