    Goodwill Industries

[many of you may or may not shop at Goodwill iNMDUSTRIES.I walked into the store last week and they had a John Deere dump trailer tagged at $199.
I passed it up as it looked a little pricey.Today i walked in again and it was still there . so I googled the trailer and found it at Lowes fro $199. so I called for teh manager and proceeded to interview her as to their pricing proceduers and she gave me the Hillary Clinton. ai could not ge t a straight answer out of her, SHE FINALLY ADMITTED THAT THEY HAD PRICING STANDARDS and they just used their better judgement as theirr doners would expecte them t oget the mos tfor their donations . only about 20 % of the donation prices reach teh actual people rest goes to salaries .......sooooooo they makin ga killing on merchandsie tah twould otherwise would ahve gotten thrown away.
After my daughters sudden death last year we donated a hosue hold full of goods to those people so why am i ranting??
I guess i just need to take a day off an potlick me a fishing trip

Sorry, Ben. I can't fault them for trying to make money from items people will pay for. They raise money through those sales. It's a thrift store ... that doesn't mean everything for sale is a bargain. If that trailer is in great condition, they should get top dollar for it.

On the other hand, if you talk to the right person (manager types) you can negotiate prices down, there.

Yes, Ben I think you need to get out and catch some fishys.

Been in a couple of the goodwill stores. Some stuff is priced fair to low price. Some stuff was over priced. Maybe they googled it and found it selling higher at another place. Not looking to see lowest they could find it.

Also it's run as a business. Most they can get for an item.

Your right on crazy money goodwill CEO profits and outs in his pocket.
Remember, always help who you can, whether you know them or not, blessings come when you least expect it.
