thank you for the info bigfishtale i live here in Huffman and look at it as a very positive move which will increase our water supply and fish hatchery will grow .....at this point i see no reason to panic or frett about the water supply

It should not change the flow at the dam as the pump station will be downstream and it will not drain the bay either.

I've been hearing about this for a couple years now, but I guess they are finally going to stop talking about it and do it. I live right off Luce Bayou and original plans showed the pipeline coming right behind my house and dumping into the bayou right at the 2100 bridge. Now it looks like it will come in closer down towards the lake. Any thoughts on what it will do to the lake? There will be a pump station so it will have a constant flow, I'm sure based on supply needs by Houston. (2) 96" pipes is a lot of volume. I wonder if it will change the normal flow at Livingston dam...?

As a general rule any inflow of water will be a positive, it always has been where I have fished. Keep in mind this is for water storage and to make it more user friendly for water removal to supply water to whatever municipality is footing the bill. Water is BIG BUSINESS and recreation is secondary but expect positive results.
