Yup Lou's favorite fish I'd a pan fried bluegill. Gut, scrape scales off and chop off head. To the skillet it goes.

Ben. It doesn't bother me at all to take em'. I use them for bait with a cork when it gets slow. I hooked a really, really nice bass using this method. She broke me off at the dock.
Go to Walmart and buy yourself a Black and Decker electric knife. It works great on bream (perch), crappie and bass but not too good with catfish (for me). Cuts easily through the rib cages and is good for removing ribs from the fillet. Fry the larger fillets and boil the smaller ones with shrimp and crab boil.
