John Mercer the ring leader is a friend that I cooked with at one time. What these guys and gals are doing is what Texas is all about.

    Another cool story.

They called to see who needed food. They were asked to deliver food to an airport in Katy where national guard was using to fuel Blackhawk and other helicopters. They get there and start unloading food. The food was then loaded onto a Blackhawk and flown to Vidor/ Beaumont area to feed folks over there.

Mighty fine looking group of generous people. Angels wearing aprons and Tshirts. My kind of people. God bless everyone doing what they can to help.

This company donated them three of these disc cookers. They asked if they had a use for them. The guys said yes cause they were asked if there was any way they could cook breakfast items for the first responders and volunteers. So not only great BBQ but not breakfast tacos are being made daily.

Today the guys got a police escort to drop off food to more folks needing food.

Here is a video link to a news story on it.

John Mercer just posted that in four days they served 19,300 hot meals. A big thanks to John and the guys and gals for doing such a stand up job.
