Looking for a golden retriever...any one got any leads?

We are looking for a golden retriever. Craigslist been a nightmare. Doesnt have to be full bred...just mostly golden. However full bred is fine. The more it has...shots/wormer/papers...etc it has the more we would be willing to pay. However, 1200 for a mut off craigslist with nothing ain't gonna happen. Lol. There's a bunch out there from 1500-4000, but that's way more dog than we will ever need or use.

Anyhow, thought I'd ask the FTx braintrust.

    Thanks in advance.

    -Jeremy

Have you tried any animal shelters? I can search the shelters around here and in the FWD area where I work.
We have 2 dogs from shelters and one that I picked up on the side of the road. It has been a very rewarding experience for us.
    Good luck

Thanks yall. Looked at decent number of animal shelters as well as golden retriever rescues. There wasnt much at either of those. Also they make it a hassle and complicated. Whatever we get, it will be spoiled to death. Our last two were. We are out in the country but have a fenced an acre yard. Dogs will be sleeping inside as the last ones did. We spent lots of time working with and enjoying our last dogs. They enjoyed the farm life. The next one we get will of course be no different. Thanks yall for keeping an eye out for one that can go to a good home.

It's a shame that they make something as simple as rescuing a dog complicated. It sounds like you have a PERFECT home for any dog. If I were a dog, I'd want to live on a farm. Our dogs are spoiled rotten. I don't do it.
Busy day at work but I will try to search tomorrow.
Good luck buddy. Can't wait to see photos of the new pup.
