    Axe throwing

Any of you guys ever done this? Our company party is this weekend and they chose an axe throwing venue. My partner in crime at work built a target and we practiced a bit here at home. We are starting to really enjoy it. Kinda like darts but with an axe. More like a big hatchet.
The venue is BYOB. Hatchets and booze. Can't wait.

I've thrown knives and tomahawks many times. An axe once or twice fooling around. Once you figure out distance and spin it's pretty repeatable. Sounds like a good company to work for!

Knives are next. You are exactly right Jeremy. Staying consistent. Easier said than done.

I've been throwing knives since I was 14. Started with a 3/4 Bowie knife and got good enough to hit a swinging 2x4 from a tree most of the time. Now I have several real throwing kinves thaT i USE TO ATTACK A 2X12 LEANING AGAINST A TREE IN MY BACK YARD. (sorry for the caps). THrew axes a little too.

Dutch....do you hold by blade or handle? Targeted number of spins?

Always watch out for the "return to senders". Lol.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I've seen a very affordable set of S&W, 8 inch throwing knives on the intranet. Claims to be good for beginners. I have no idea. Any advice is appreciated.
I will take photos at the party vettO but I can't get them to post since they gave me a new phone.

Note to self: don't mess with Dutch.
