    Welcome to FishingTx QueSun
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

    Thanks Yall!!!

Howdy, and glad to be here.

I use the same ID from another Tx Fishing Forum (dunno if it's okey to plug another forum?). Mrs Backlasher a member of this forum may recognize me.

2005 has been an all saltwater fishing (95% salty, 5% - white bass run) from a kayak.

Reds, trout and flounder are my primary targets in the salt; caught other species as well such as uglies (black drum), snookes (caught 2 last yr), jacks, spanish macks and the usual trash fish.

    Favorite places to fish:

    1. Freeport marshes, close to ICW and the sorrounding cuts that feeds the shallow bay in the area. That includes Nicks, Swan, Drum and Salt.
We do the shallow water when I have my 10yo son on a weekend.

    2. Surf is great for trout anywhere on the Galveston to Freeport.

    3. Paddle the surf and anchor where the water color change is (ambush area). I mostly paddle solo or til another kayaker join me, on ocassion I join friends from another forum.

This time of year as everyone knows white bass run is the BUZZ!!

My compliments to yall and I dont wanna just lurk around w/o saying THANK YOU, yall members are giving away great information regarding the white bass run and crappie spots and the likes....

Lookin forward to meetin some of ya fellas....

Work is a way to support a fishing habit and for those who do not know how to fish.
