Just gettin' 'round to reading all the 'welcomes' and really appreciate it. I can't believe I finally found a such a worthwhile fishing site...all the great information and with such great, considerate folks! I love a little poking fun as much as the next guy, but some folks on other sites get carried away and with a lot of name-calling, etc.

Anyway, I'm a recent Yak owner and been trying to learn the ropes and places around Galveston/Surfside to go to catch fish (live near Sugar Land)!! Also, would be interested in learning of more areas to fish w/o a boat. I'm mostly interested in flounder and reds (dinner table fare), and will use live or artificial. Haven't had too much luck, but not giving up. (can't wait to post some of my own pics <grin>)
