5/11/07 – In early fall 2007 Houston Refining will conduct another New Operator Initial Training class and we expect to receive about 1,000 resumes for acceptance into the class. As a Houston Refining employee, you are an excellent referral source for this opportunity. All applicants must meet the minimum qualifications and follow the normal hiring process (testing, interviews, etc).




Minimum Requirements:



High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED), must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without Visa sponsorship (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident) and successfully pass entry level aptitude tests to be administered in Houston, Texas.




Other Desirable Education and/or Experience:



Process Technology Certificate or an Associates Degree in Process Technology or Instrumentation; prior experience in a chemical/refinery plant in an operator/technician role, plant instrumentation, or experience in a mechanically intensive job function; college level coursework
