    thanks for the warm welcome. i am next door in louisiana and i love fishing toledo blend, caddo lake and lake murvall. does anyone remember the good old days of the murvall monster. jbj

    john back in the 1960s murvall was producing 6 pound bass on a regular basis. this was before floridas was introduced to our area waters. these were home grown native strain bass. people were coming from all over the united states to fish for the murvall monsters. their was a few articles in national magazines like fielf&stream and sports illustrated about the small lake in east texas. jbj
