Thanks to all for the welcome. I just stumbled on to this site thanks to Gentleben posting about the new Ponderosa boatramp on TexasKayakFishermen.com. Looks like it will take some time just to tour the various boards on this website. Got a lot a readin' to do.:cheers:

Yes, we are almost neighbors, not real far. We are near the 242 and 1485 intersection, off of Pickering Rd.
Where do you like to fish and what kind?

I had to look at a map to see where Pickering Road is, now I know.

As for fishing, I haven't fished much but in the process of remedying that. In the past I mostly fished for catfish and mostly on Lake Amistad with my family. I recently bought some used reels, lures, etc. I have one rod to my name, planning to buy more. I just bought a kayak recently and will be using that as my fishing boat soon as I can get my trailer registered plus buy the other essentials I need.

Once I get setup, I'll be trying some of the freshwater in the area (for cats and crappie mostly I imagine). Also itching to try my hand in the saltwater as I have only done the party boat thing previously in the Gulf.
