Ya gotta ... dislike ... them idiot drivers who have no concept of how heavy their vehicle is. It just won't do things on a wet surface that it can do on dry. You just can't "wish" it to grip the road, and physics says you can't fight momentum and inertia with wishful thinking.
Glad no one was hurt ... and I hope you get your truck fix right, and quickly.

I am glad that you are ok. I read that there was several wrecks yesterday. I have a white dodge king cab 2500 . I did about the same damage to mine running into a parked suburban last year while looking down at my cell phone instead of watching the road . $5,600 to fix !

Glad to hear that you're ok!

Had a similar accident where a lady pulled out in front of my '97 Chevy x-cab. She saw my blinker but, didn't wait for me to change lanes. Looked back over my left shoulder to check for traffic, and after that , all that I remeber was a bright flash, an then coming to on the other side of four lanes of traffic. My friend in the passengers seat was knocked out with his eyes open. I freaked out thinking that he was dead. Had to rip the door open to check on him!

He ended up with a concussion and she broke her collar bone. Me, just the memory...

Didn't mean to hijack the thread but, I'm glad that you're OK! :)

Too bad the Dodge kind of got wrinkled up. My wife wrecked two vehicles in which the airbag deployed both times. They totalled both vehicles because of the expense in repairing those airbags. As long as you're ok, you can deal with the rest.
