well 8 days ago we left wife driving truck pulling camper with dogs and daughter and me on the motorcycle. we had a wonderful time. i have been going since the age of 9 months of age. my grand mother started taking mom in 1951 me in 1963 and this weekend my grandson and granddaughter came for a few days so we are now a 5 generations of garner "goiers"
i can never remember it being that hot. there is very little water. no tubing. i have never seen the water that low either. the ground is so dry the grass crunches when you walk on it but firecrackers are for sale everywhere.???????
it was so hot we were sitting there and a lighter blew up from heat. here's some pictures of the view from my bike if you could feel the wind you would go buy one.

we made a stop on the side of katy freeway coming in so i could drink some water and look what the cat drug up ole layton happen by to harass me and the wife

CRYSTAL CITY we also went to garner very often we were only 45 miles from there I also have a lot of family in UVALDE TX well ya`ll have fun . hey try to ride to a park called CHALK BLUFF it`s very nice there too.

yep, used to go to garner when I was in high school back in the late 50's...I loved that place.

Glad you & the family had a good time. i think if they would of had a had a coleman lantern the tent would of be set right.I'm glad ya made it home it was the highlight of the day see ya in your biker gear. There really was a plain some where!

you know i didnt make it by chalk bluff but i believe mom said thats where my dad learned to swim gonna find out and make a return trip this fall

yeah I thinnk your correct about the pole they look to be the wrong size. for a min. there i thought that was Bear Griles. LOL those are some awesome pix I wish the my wife would like to camp. I bet the kids would have a blast out there.
