Well, I got another Fri. off, so I had it all planned. Hook up boat, head to Somerville, slaughter the crappie in a little creek that nobody really fishes for them in. NOPE! NATTA! Aint happening. Father-in-law called and needed help re-working some fence that a kid drove through last night. Father called and needed help getting his dozer up and running. So, here I go to Giddings ( without boat ) got there at 8 am and had fence finished by 1 pm, went to dads place and got the dozer going by 4 pm. Sooooo I headed for Somerville with my jigging pole and waders. Got there around 4:45. THEY CUT MY REEDS DOWN!:icon_mad: So I went to the marina to get a " soda " :cheers:and 2 guys had just pulled out and showed me there ice chest. 45 crappie.:dinnertime: Sh%$$#@ and they caught them ALL on the reeds on the other side of " that little creek ". AARRGG!! I would go back in the morning, but as many people that were coming in to camp for the weekend, I think not. Well, I guess there's hope for next weekend.
