I'm glad you made it to FishingTX.Com, the friendliest fishing forum you will find. We needed someone who was familiiar with the Colorado and San Gabriel Rivers.

We just finished a fantastic muster at Cagle (May 1) on north Lake Conroe. For details, click on http://www.fishingtx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19820

Our last muster at Cagle in 2009 was fantastic and this one was even better. To see some of those details, click on http://www.fishingtx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19099

Take a look around our forum and you'll discover a real community of very different people interested in aspects of fishing at all levels from beginner to expert. What unites everyone is the desire to communicate, share, learn and discuss fishing.

Whether you're here seeking help as a beginner to fishing, or are an advanced (PC) fisher person, it's great to see a new face. If you have a little knowledge, share it with us. Be sure and go to http://www.fishingtx.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=45 and tell us about yourself. We will all thank you for helping us get to know you better.

Now, jump in and have a good time, while you are getting to know us.

Thanks guys. I used to do a lot of catfishing on the Colorado north of San Saba. My largest was a 47 pound yellowcat. My dad and I once took 400 pounds of cats in one weekend in the 5 mile hole there. I also fished Possum Kingdom and Buchannan for years. I then got busy and later became a saltwater fan. In this time in my life due to health and the ecomomy I hope to get back to some of the simpler things I did in my younger days and stay closer to home. I just finished building a hand made wooden boat and am currently making a bunch of noodle jugs. I am also rigging my surf fishing stuff for catfishing so I will be reading all your stuff to glean information. Thanks, Ed

Here is a link to my boat building story on my blog.
