Three more days and I will be the first Fishingtx member to hang out with flatcats in person!:D

He's busy during the day the first week, but I'm sure I'll get to meet him in the evening! Hopefully while I'm there we'll jug the local lakes and the river, and MAYBE get into those big river cats like last year!

Wish us luck. We'll take pictures.

I'm honored and really looking forward to it. Jon is a better fisherman than I am so I think I might be getting the better end of the stick in this deal.

I'm going to burn a bunch film while you're here so we can post pictures, you can sure count on that. It's your vacation so wherever you prefer to go is where we'll be heading off to. I'm just along to help you carry all those overloaded coolers full of fish back to your truck. By the way, the water temp is getting just about perfect.

Steve, I don't know who you've been talking to, but you're setting yourself up for a big dissapointment if you're depending on me!

I've fished a few times close to the Bull Run(?) power plant. Not real sure of the name of it, think it's close to Lake City. I didn't have much luck, but then again I didn't really know what I was doing. Good Luck to ya both!!

Ben, first place I'm going fishing is to Pickwick dam to catch the skipjack. After about 100 I have to start pretending I'm fishing the white bass run. Those skippies are nasty!!!!!!!

Hi Dave,

If there's a difference in taste it will probably be due to the different menu and oxygen content of the water and also the fact that the cat is always fighting an extremely heavy current. There's a HUGE difference locally between the local river cats and the farm raised you get in some of the restraunts.

Skip jack aren't really nasty until you cut one up. As fishy smelling as old tuna is it doesn't hold a candle to skippie stink, LOL

Steve
