I'm glad you made it to FishingTX.Com, the friendliest fishing forum you will find. In September last year, we had a great muster at BJ’s Marina on the East Fork of Lake Houston. All members and their guests were invited and 70 to 80 of them showed up to enjoy themselves.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. :)

I have enjoyed reading some of your posts and seeing all the PURDY FISH PICS!! Nice catches guys, i however i guess am still in the learning phase of fishing. I am not a complete idiot either but their is a whole lot i need to improve on. I usually fish for cat because that is what i am most comfortable with. I have caught my share of keepers but nothing like the pics i have seen on this forum. WOW!!!
I would love to learn how to perfect bass fishing, i have caught stripers and hybrids but never any large mouth, that is on my to do list for my new years resolutions.
Do to my work i havn't had time to do much fishing but now my slow season is starting i am hoping to get out more.
I bought me a new Castway rod for my b-day last year and have probably only used it 5 times, it is just ashame, i have no excuse i just live 10 min from lake conroe.
Again my new years resolution is to become better that idiot status hehe!! when it comes to bass fishing that is . I have bought several new rattle traps and some nice jigs and spinner baits that i am dying to go out and try. I lost 3 good lures this past monday tying into a couple of large mouth bass and for one reason or another the fish won, I have got to get better at this before i loose more lures. I have even thought about hiring a guide to take me out but do to lack of $$ that isn't going to happen any time soon. I just spent 1,700 on a new clutch on my car, got to love it i just paid it off and then 3 weeks ago this happened. Oh well we get through it , it could always be worse.
Anyway all tips and suggestions are greatly appreciated, keep posting all your great stories they are inspiration to me :)

We appreciate your first post. We enjoy members who join us and get involved on the forum. There are many here who can give you some guidance on Lake Conroe if you just ask.

With a few additions, this post could serve as your introduction. In fact, it might help if you went to out "Introduce Yourself Section" and told us a little more about yourself. That way, we could probably be a little more helpful in the future. In any event, thanks for sharing.
