I got a chance to fish with my son Josh today on Galveston Bay. We fished with his good friend Ronnie,a guide on Galveston Bay. We caught 11 keeper trout up to 5 1/2 lbss. It was a good afternoon on the water. We fished the end of the in coming tide with live shrimp under cork. It has been a long time since I last fished saltwater and man do I miss that kind of fishing. The water was clear and the weather couldn't have been any better. I can't wait to go back.

Those are some really nice trout...I haven't been to galveston in a while...its been too long...I love it, because if i don't use up all the bait(shrimp) i can bring them home and cook them up...lol

Those are beauties RodBender! I agree with SilentKiller, the salt stays in your blood.

RB, looks like the wrist if healing pretty quick or a few nice specks helped forget that it hurts to reel them in. Nice pictures and write up. Where did you launch?

SS, we came out of the Galveston Yacht Basin. My son's friend keeps his 27' Grady White in the slings there. A sweet boat. He had two quarts of large live shrimp ready to go and off we went. The water is pretty clear right now. I looked over the back of the boat and could see the props. We fished near the causeway bridge. His tip was to keep fresh clicking shrimp on the hook. If it aprreared to be dead he would change it out.
