I know, right, I was thinking about that when I was wading near san luis pass a couple of days ago, and something was blowing big mullet up within casting range... I was very careful not to thrash around and keep my stringer off my legs...

ouch, i got hit by a stingray wading sat...chicken to have a stringer i was running back to shore with my catch back and forth since the whiting were hitting like mad. Then after i got hit by stingray I got to thinking i was wading out with the baitfish and a lot of them were jumping out of the water so it could have been worse since im sure there was a predator chasing them up into the air.

I've had a similar experience wading in the surf on Bolivar years ago, had three good size specs on my stringer behind me, water was super clear, some black tip shark kept swimming around me in circles and I didn't think anything of it, small to medium sized guy, well he decides to start munching on my catch, i hear the water go crazy behind me and pull my stringer up to see no only two fish and a head of the third. I say, freaking shark! and toss them back in, that shark comes back a few mins later and takes another of my catch, now I have two heads and only one fish left. After that I walked back up to my truck to toss that single fish into the cooler. I really didn't like walking around in the water with bait fish attached to me, I forgot to bring my donut floating net with me that day.
