That is a nice buck. How about the story of how it happened?

There is a little story there, because this one and an eleven pointer came out at the same time. I scoped this one and was within an instant of firing, then changed my mind and scoped the other one, and came within an instant of firing, and then came back to this one. The eleven pointer was very nice, but the tines were longer on this one. I hit him in the heart, and he bolted about 40 yards before dropping. It is amazing how they can do that. He was shot with a 1913 Springfield 30-06. He weighed 130 and skinned, headless, and gutted 90. He was shot on family property near Kerrville. He was very fat inspite of the drought, that just shows what corn feeders will do.
