:applause: Today was my first day to not have a job, by choice, in about 50 years. Felt good not to set that alarm clock last night. Hope retirement is as good as I've hoped.

I have been semi-retired for several years and I find that I have more to do than I ever imagined.

I have been retired for several years now. Any hard task is better to do in the morning, never break a sweat, and you can always finish tomorrow. Oh, one more thing, naps are real important.

Better take your vitamins because I'm told retired people work harder after retirement and have less time for themselves. I hope this is not true for you. Congrats anyway!!

Congrats on the retirement! I hit my 25 yrs with my job last month along with another 2 yrs state service, so I can retire any day if I want. Probably will work another 5 to get a little more on the retirement check unless I don't receive a promotion in a year or two.

Congratulations!! I just hope it'll still be possible for me to retire in 30-40 years. Got a feeling I'll just live on the water lol. I see a boat house in my future.

Awesome, best wishes on that next adventure. I hope to find that “semi-retired” job one day soon myself.

Thanks. First month was good. Fished a couple of times, saw friends out of town, had friends over, spent a few days with my son the Daingerfield and I'm still in the middle of a lot of honey-dos. The paycheck is the only thing I miss. Planning on a big fishfry over Easter weekend. I think I'm getting used to it.
