Take a look around our forum and you'll discover a real community of very different people interested in fishing from beginners to experts. What unites everyone is the desire to communicate, share, learn and discuss fishing. It's great to see a new face. If you have a little knowledge, share it with us. Go to http://www.fishingtx.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=45 and tell us about yourself. We will all thank you for helping us get to know you better.

Check out FishingTx Extras at http://www.fishingtx.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=178 for several types of reports and a Google Map for where a lot of us launch our boats and fish.

Our “How To” section will probably answer a lot of your questions. If you are still stumped, click on “Forum” and go to the section which covers your problem. Look through that section and if you still do not have an answer, post a thread with there with your question.

Now, jump in and have a good time, while you are getting to know us.

Thanks for the welcome. Joined to try to get familiarized with the fishing spots around the Beaumont area. Origionally from Corpus Christi, relocated a few years ago to Lumberton and time for fishing has been limited and dissapointing when you dont know where to go. Had fun with the kids a couple of years ago catching a load of crab but must have just got lucky, not much the times we've been out since. Sold the boat in 2008 so options are limited but considering getting a pontoon boat. 4 kids, all girls so not looking for competative fishing, just recreational and family time. Now my job has me traveling alot and one daughter is a Raiderette and the another is in Band so dont get to the water much but would be nice to know where to go on those rare occasions. Any suggesyions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again.
