Looks very good.

I occasionally cook a batch of stuff that looks like that.

FAMILY SHRIMP BOIL
Found on wall at Moody Aquarium.
Recipe supposed to be more than 100 years old.

2 lb shrimp head off, 26-30 count
2 packages of 3 oz crab/shrimp boil
2 tbl salt
12 small whole new potatoes or 3 russets quartered
4 onions quartered
1 link pork or Italian sausage cut 1” pieces
3 ears of corn cut in 1/3 pieces

Using big pot with food for 12:

Fill pot 1/2 full, add crab boil and salt, small dash of
cayenne and Tabasco, bring to boil for 20 to 25
minutes. 12:05 to 12:30
(Fire up pot at 12:00. Takes my pot about 5
minutes to begin boiling, and it takes awhile
for all the spices to get out of the crab boil)

Add potatoes, bring to boil for 10 minutes. 12:31 to 12:41
(It takes about 1 minute to get back to boil)

Add onion & sausage, bring to boil for 5 minutes. 12:43 to 12:48
(It takes about 2 minutes to get back to boil)

Add shrimp & corn, bring to boil for 5 minutes. 12:50 to 12:55
(It takes about 3 minutes to get back to boil)

Drain and serve

Feed 6 to 8

(Takes approximately 1 hour from the time your water first boils. The times shown are for having it ready to serve at 1:00 PM. The size of your burner will dictate the times for getting back to boil. You can then adjust your recipe cooking times accordingly.)

I use a good bit of cayenne to put a little tingle on the lips, boil the corn 5 mins & the shrimp bout 3 mins.
I add chicken broth & butter to my water but use most of what you use.
Very quick good meal!!!

Only thing wrong with that is that we were not invited.2# shrimp for 6-8 people would not work for my bunch.wife and I can eat 2#.Like the Cajuns say that would feed 6-8 people or 2 Cajuns.

Very nicely done. Thanks for the complete recipe Rod. I think that is just what we are gonna need for a little family gathering next month.

That really sounds good. Only thing different I would do it then chill the shrimp for about 20 to 30 minutes. Then its on.
