My buddy is part of a BBQ cooking team, that's cooking to help out the first responder, including all the other folks that left the family and homes to lend a hand and their time to help us down here is Houston and the surrounding areas. Anything is surely appreciated.

Thanks for donation.

My house is good. Roads are flooded. Thank god this rain has let up. Amazing to see the Texans helping Texans. Very heart felt seeing the support from so many.

My friend James Bubba Minchew from Axtel, TX. is down in a boat helping rescue those in need. Wish I was younger I'd be right there with him. Stay safe and help all you can.

I talked to my buddy and he said his team has served a lot of folks and will continue to do it. They delivered BBQ to fire station , police station and many churches.

Main guy running team even gave his pair of rubber boots to a national guard member. His boots were soaked but still working. Stand up guys for sure.

John Mercer the ring leader is a friend that I cooked with at one time. What these guys and gals are doing is what Texas is all about.

Another cool story.

They called to see who needed food. They were asked to deliver food to an airport in Katy where national guard was using to fuel Blackhawk and other helicopters. They get there and start unloading food. The food was then loaded onto a Blackhawk and flown to Vidor/ Beaumont area to feed folks over there.

Mighty fine looking group of generous people. Angels wearing aprons and Tshirts. My kind of people. God bless everyone doing what they can to help.

This company donated them three of these disc cookers. They asked if they had a use for them. The guys said yes cause they were asked if there was any way they could cook breakfast items for the first responders and volunteers. So not only great BBQ but not breakfast tacos are being made daily.

Today the guys got a police escort to drop off food to more folks needing food.

Here is a video link to a news story on it.

That is exactly what they are doing... Our little 4 days out at Montgomery county probably cooks for a round 1,000 by the time its all said and done and let me tell you, you are whipped by the end. Can't imagine cooking for 20,000. Must have a lot of help.

This just goes to restore the fact that there are still great people around. An emergency and disaster brings folks together. Way to go to all involved.
