Dolen Gravel pit - kayak fishing

Does any body know if the Dolen gravel pits are still open for fishing? If so were do you go and how much is the cost. I know there was an entrance at 787 and 2168. Just wondering if still possible to fish there? I use to fish Chain of Lakes years ago but I don't think they will let you in unless you rent a cabin for 2 nights. Any other places to fish in this area? thanks in advance.

Chain Of Lakes is permanently closed but the Dolen's gravel pits are opened at $5.00 drop off box, they are just past 2168 on the left. no boat launch and being private lake no registration for your kayak!! So, slap the trolling motor on your kayak and get after it
