I'd really be interested in getting boat lane and stump information for GPS, especially anyone that can upload them to computer so I can transfer without having to key waypoints in by hand. I can get to/from a lot of formats if you have them saved on computer. I might be willing to barter some homemade beef jerky.......

For those of us that need a place to sleep, other than a campground, I am posting this information.

There are several motels in Huntsville, for those coming from the north, west or east, if that is where you choose to stay. Sorry, I only looked in Willis and north Conroe.

Wherever and whenever you are booking a room: Remember to Always ask for their best rate!

To the south of Cagle, Exit 102, are the following:

Conroe-Exit 91-League Line Rd.
1. Comfort Inn; 936-890-2811; $69.26-116.95
2. La Quinta; 936-228-0790; $85-140
3. Supreme Inn and Suites; 936-890-2600; $55.95

Willis-Exit 94-FM 1097
1. Best Western*; 409-856-1906; $57.95-68.95

* I stayed at this Best Western last year and won't do it again. I had taken my laptop and could not get an internet connection (this is the only place I have had this problem, so it isn't my laptop) and I let them know immediately. They couldn't get it working. Plus, their continental breakfast was worth walking past and staying hungry.

This year, I will be staying in Conroe, which has several places to eat at, if I don't like the looks of their continental breakfasts.

Order of events are as follows:

On Friday, IF we have a pit, we will throw whatever kinds of meat are brought on it http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_72.gif and have some sides to feed the fishermen, and the others that are there. It is very casual and there is no set time to eat. After dark, there is usually a campfire http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_200v.gif to sit around and visit with one another. I know, right now, no one wants to be around a campfire but it will be nice.

On Saturday, around noon or 1:00, we eat a wonderful catfish lunch http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/26/26_8_14.gif and do more visiting. Then, we clean up everything.

Plus, don't forget, catch fish http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_3_202.gif , clean fish, and catch more fish, clean more fish, before noon Saturday.

Just so everyone knows, the pit stays hot and ready for use for 2-3 days. If it is not hot enough, throw another log on the fire and let's feed the fishermen. Last year, I cooked fajitas at home and warmed them on the pit. Just an idea. Cook it at home or cook it there.

Gator its a little early now to sit up at Cagle and wait on the muster, but I wouldnt mind spending a weekend on Lake Raven after Bethany comes home next week. Anyone in? There are some nice wooded roads for your bike Gator not to mention excellent Bass, Crappie and catfishing. We could leave a smoker on all weekend and throw food on. Deep fryer at the ready for some of those slab crappie. You could even talk me out of bass fishing and soak some minnows for some crappie. They sure grow them big on Lake Raven. Anyone in???????????????? Heck, bring the dutch oven, I know for a fact you have a lid. lol.

Besides our scrumptious fish lunch for Saturday, it looks like Friday's dinner will include brisket, chicken, green beans and corn on the cob. Some sausage on a stick would be nice for the pit too and we could have that for lunch. We may also have some venison chili. So far, I have 3 donated packages of deer meat.

I sure wish I could make this muster, I wish everybody a safe trip, and loads of fun. I will be sure to catch the next trip. So,catch lots of fish, eat a lot of food, tell some tall tales, spend family time, and thank the lord for his blessings. God bless you all.

I was all messed up on days. I am on nights and will be the entire month of October, but I will be on Lake Conroe Friday night. I will be on the south end of the Lake. The stumps on the north end make me nervous.

I will try and come up to Cagle Saturday noon time for the fish fry and visit with everyone. I have already made reservations at Park on the Lake for this weekend with a friend and his family. We will be fishing for the first place fish. Everyone stay safe and maybe we will see ya on the lake.
