Advise needed....

LB13 and myself will be chasing some redfish tomorrow morning....niether of us know much about reds, so I was hoping to get a few pointers.

With the front that is/has moved in, how will it effect the bite....I've read that fishing for reds right after a front is pretty useless as they develope a case of lockjaw. The wind will be blowing at a good pace....11-15 mph....the tide is the only thing that will be working in our favor....








We should be getting on the water around 6am which is when it will be it's lowest.....that puts us fishing as the tide is coming in....once again I've 'read' that this is the best time to fish for reds.

So, with the information here, what would you do? I'm gonna go chase them reguardless, but I sure would like to put a few in the boat.

i would probally hold off until next weekend. might want to chase crappie or catfish instead. but if your gonna try let us know what area your going to.

I knwo a few areas on the west shore line of the bay close to La Porte, and a few more between there and Texas City as they are saying were are you putting in at

We'll be putting in below the dam....then heading down stream from there. We'll also be taking some jugs with us to soak as we stalk the reds. Also taking my yak to maybe help sneak up on the reds.

you will have to run way down stream too really get into the reds. go to the barges on past banana bend they should be there.

I would consider that area a catch and release due to the toxic fish. The San Jacinto river at Interstate 10 is a designated "superfund" area by TCEQ and EPA. Those creatures should not be eaten. I have my doubts about eating anything much north of there, too.

be mindful of the magic TPWD saltwater line where those jugs become illegal. let us know how y'all do and good luck.
