when I was in the marines I attempted 400lbs with out a lifting shirt and barely got it up. It felt like my shoulders were going to snap off. It was like pushing on a wall. I cant fathom that much weight. 300lbs would probably tear a muscle right now.

Bill, Richard's world record was for 17 years old, 198lb weight class, deadlift of 507lbs.

His state record is same age and weight but bench press 319. When he moved up to 18-19 year olds, the records were way up there. He benched close to 400 at the last meet. He just truned 19.

Congrats on your boys accomplishments craig. I hope I have a kid that likes to lift more then video game controllers when I do have one. I did alot of lifting in highschool and years after but it was always for performance more then power lifting. I still got a nice weight set at the house. I need to use it more, ha ha.

oh he does that too, mostly madden and sports games, I got real lucky, had a son that loves sports probably more then me.
I had to stop going to the gym with him though when he started making fun of me.

Wow that's a lot of weight that he lifts! And to think that I was complaininf the other trip about lifting the battery box 3/4 full of dumbell weights out of the boat !
A bad day fishing is better than a great day working ! :fart:
