Fresh Cut bait----- Can catch reds, drums, hard catfish, gaftop catfish, Spanish mackerel, croaker and trout. I have caught bigger fish using cut bait.

Dead shrimp----- same as above. only issue using dead shrimp is small fish mainly hard heads and small croaker will eat it first.

Live shrimp and other live bait----- will catch same as cut bait. You will need to keep it live with aerators in your bait buckets.

Cut bait to me is fresh mullet, small croaker, small sand trout and piggy perch.

I fish it Carolina rig. 1-2 oz weight and 2/0-5/0 hook.

I also wade out into the water

    Hope this helps.

Bring a cast net. Chances are, what ever you catch in that net is what the fish are eating at the time. Match the hatch. But be warned, you may never swim at the beach again once you see what you've been swimming with all these years!
