Sailfish - Did this really happen?

I have not posted in a while but did want to share with all of you one of the most unusual, interesting, and exciting moments of my fishing life. My friend Chris and I were fishing the Sharkathon on PINS when as I was wading in knee deep water I saw a fin. I thought it was a shark and threw my mullet at it several times. It got closer and closer and then came at me and as I backed up it followed me into a foot of water. I pulled its bill to the waters edge and Chris lifted it up. A few pics, then revived and off it went. I can not explain it, only that it was a memory of a lifetime. We did not catch any sharks, but this sure took the sting off. reffishlaw - that is truly amazing that a sail fish would come into shallow water like that. Something had to be wrong with the fish. Something much larger had to bang it around in deeper water and it ended up with a concussion??
When is the best time to go fishing? Whenever you can go. Just do it!

He had to be sick somehow. When Chris lifted him out of the water he barely struggled. But seeing his tail later (Unless there were more) riding the second bar wave maybe he made it. Will live as one of the great memories of all time on the water. Can't wait to top it.
