There is a tradeoff there Ben. Where now the cars are harder to steal, the price of cutting and programming keys has gone through the roof. One of the models here at the Mazda store, the CX-9 is about 900.00 for 2 keys cut and programmed.
Oh, my friend . What time is this . To trade the handshake for the fist

There are a couple solutions to keeping your ford f250. # 1. but a dodge or chevy, #2. install a lojack (spelling my be off) and the truck can be found within minutes of the police turning on the gps tracking system. And I think it may be cheaper than the keys for a Mazda CX 9. As for number one, number 2 may be the very best solution.

Maybe Eric can shed a little light on the Lojack system.

It's not just Fords. When my Chevy rolled off without me it was one of the hottest truck at the time to steal. It was gone in no time. It was never found. It was easy to break into and roll off with.

the truth is if the crook wants it they are going to get it no matter what you put on it.....there's always a way to circumvent technology.... And as the Bible is fulfilling the last days are going to be even worse with those that don't want to work for their own things they just steal all of us hard working smacks' instead....
